Moscow - Rossiya Hotel
We stayed at the Rossiya Hotel for our 3 nights in Moscow. It is on the edge of Red Square and was built sometime in the late '60's or early '70's. This is Russia's largest hotel with 26 stories and 3,150 rooms. It is built in a square around a large interior courtyard, with the big tower extending into the courtyard. We were on the ninth floor with a view of the courtyard.
This hotel is due to be demolished next year, and be replaced by a hotel with architecture that is more fitting to the surrounding area (Kremlin and Red Square).
