Timing Gear Sets - Ural

In the back of the current CMSI Ural 650 dealer parts book, Rev. 6/11/02 item number 6D reads " Timing Gears, There is a number on top of the Gear Case or Engine Block, at the back of the alternator. You will need to provide this number when ordering new gears." Timing gears are sold in sets. The numbers on the gears are confusing. It is best to look at the cam gear . Most of the numbers do not mean anything. They have extended the numbers to include 00, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 55. These numbers are on both the 650 and the 750 engines. The gears in the 750 engine are a little different because of the larger crank shaft bearing. It is best to match the timing gears to the engine case number.
